Dragon Sourcing recently connected one of its clients with highly reputable suppliers of girls’ clothing from Mexico and Bangladesh. Our company first made a demand analysis to understand the requirements of our client clearly. In order to meet the client’s requirements, a list of 84 potential suppliers was compiled by conducting market analysis and consulting various resources, such as B2B websites and newsletters. The selection was further narrowed down through telephone interviews that included questions on export license availability, quality certifications, and product type. Following this step, 37 vendors were identified who passed the preliminary telephonic interview stage; an RFI was sent to them, out of which 22 responded back. From these 22 responses, the client chose 15 for the RFQ. Fifteen RFQs were then sent out to the selected vendors, with 15 responses received in return.
Subsequently, each vendor was evaluated based on a scorecard tailored towards our client’s needs that gave weight to business information (25%), production capabilities (30%), quality control management (25%), social responsibilities (10%), and certificates (10%). After careful consideration, three vendors were recommended who best met our client’s requirements and expectations among all applicants considered for the project. Finally, all relevant documentation was provided to our customer, ensuring transparency regarding the methodology used so as to enable them to make an informed decision when selecting their ideal vendor. The entire process took 12 weeks to complete, and we were in continuous touch with the client by giving them regular updates.
Dragon Sourcing was able to fulfill another client’s sourcing requirements for girls’ apparel from Mexico or Bangladesh on schedule because to the diligence and hard work of everyone involved.
