The global metric to understand the spread of coronavirus is tests that prove the number of people who tested positive for the test. There are two types of tests – diagnostic and antibody tests. While the diagnostic test checks the active infection of the virus in the body, the antibody test checks if the virus has infected the body in the past. This test is conducted by checking the presence of antibodies. Rapid point of care, diagnostic care, home collection test and saliva test are some of the alternative tests used by some nations. Throughout the world, several countries are conducting tests to confirm the number of patients suffering from the disease. However, owing to the lack of test kits and 100% accurate tests, and the rising demand for them, several fraudulent companies are coming up with defective and inaccurate kits.
