Solar Powered Lantern Case Study – Dragon Sourcing

Dragon Sourcing is one of the highly sought procurement companies when it comes to locating potential suppliers for solar-powered lanterns from India, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia. Its team first selects the suitable countries and then identifies the potential suppliers through an effective screening process. Dragon Sourcing follows a long and viable process of identifying and recommending new suppliers to their clients.

Each project is important to the company. Their team follows a standard approach to offer maximum customer satisfaction to each client irrespective of the demands or industry. They first select the top countries. The team then begins with the supplier pre-qualification stage. They do demand and supply market analysis, locate prospective suppliers, and shortlist suitable vendors for the cause.

Recently, they had worked on a project where they recognized India, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand as the top countries for identifying the best suppliers. They then identified 94 suitable vendors. After locating the potential suppliers, Dragon Sourcing initiates a screening test to determine which vendors can meet the particular requirements of the client looking for solar-powered lanterns. They eventually finalized 6 competent ones for the RFI stage. 5 of these 6 were from India, and the remaining 1 was from Vietnam.

Next, they created an RFI document containing 5 sections – business information, production, quality management, social responsibility, certificate, documents, and pictures. Dragon Sourcing then performs a price analysis. It is the last step before recommending their client the most useful suppliers producing solar powered lanterns.
