The case study’s initial step involved performing a thorough spending analysis. It was focused on the client’s requirements to find a list of potential providers who could fulfill those needs.
We had a lengthy conversation with the client about the pre-screening selection procedures. Following the creation of the pre-screening criteria, Dragon Sourcing investigated the supply markets of all potential suppliers. We consulted the DS databank, Fair catalog, B2B websites, and other online resources to research the available suppliers.
Dragon Sourcing discovered 26 suppliers who submitted both an RFI and an RFQ. The client-provided parameters were used for the phone pre-screening. These parameters were as follows:

- Financials
- Product experience, Manufacturing/ technology, Quality certification, and capability
- R & D capability
- Client reference
Following that, we collaborated closely with the customer to create RFI-RFQ templates for the 26 categories of products the client intended to source.
After receiving the RFI/RFQ replies, Dragon Sourcing created a scorecard to rate the suppliers in consultation with the customer. We prepared a report based on the scorecard analysis of all RFI-RFQ. Based on the scorecard analysis, we suggested the names of 5 vendors in the report.
